Originating from Tal Amitai Lavi's site-specific installation "The Pulsating Room" (2023), this photograph captures a moment where architecture, light, and body merge. Standing atop a patterned carpet within the installation, the figure becomes a physical substrate for the carpet’s own intricate motif, projected back onto the subject’s head, back, and neck. The luminous lattice traces the contours of the body like a living tattoo, an imprint, or a physical seal. By casting the domestic and architectural pattern directly onto human skin, the work explores the deep, physical resonance between domestic spaces and personal identity, rendering the body both an embodiment of memory and a canvas for the room's inner pulse.
