Parks & Recreation unfolds as a series of diptychs created between 2017 and 2018 in Berlin. The photographic works capture fragments of Hansaviertel, a postwar residential enclave bordering the expanse of Tiergarten, where modernist architecture and urban stillness quietly intersect.
Paired with each photograph, an abstract counterpart emerges—not as a mere interpretation, but as a visual resonance. These compositions are generated through a digital painting process that samples and reconfigures the original image’s color data, translating lived space into fields of chromatic memory.
